A data notebook that stays close to your work.

Lunapad helps analysts and engineers ask questions, reuse named steps, publish browser reports, and move trusted work into dbt without sending data to a vendor by default.

What Lunapad is

Lunapad is a notebook for data questions that need to become shared work. Write a question as a step, name it, and reuse it later. Results show up in the browser, and the same work can be shared as a report or promoted into a dbt model when it should become part of the team's data project.

The core app is open source. Run it yourself, try the hosted app, or use managed hosting when your team wants Lunapad operated for you.

For analysts

Start with files, spreadsheets, or a connected warehouse. Build from question to answer, then share the result without exporting everything to a separate BI tool.

For engineers

Keep the path from exploration to production visible: inspect dependencies, wire dbt projects, schedule trusted work, and decide where data runs.

How the options fit together

Self-host: run Lunapad from the GitHub repo and keep operations on your side.

Hosted app: use app.lunapad.dev when you want to try the notebook without installing anything.

Managed hosting: book a call when a team wants a shared workspace without running upgrades and backups themselves.
