Terms of Service
The rules for Lunapad websites and hosted services. The open-source code remains governed by the license in the repository.
Accepting these terms
By using lunapad.dev, app.lunapad.dev, Lunapad documentation, or other Lunapad-hosted services, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you are using Lunapad for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.
Open-source code and GitHub activity
These terms do not replace the open-source license for Lunapad code. Source code, documentation files, and specifications made available in the GitHub repository are governed by the applicable repository license and notices, including the license file.
Issues, pull requests, discussions, stars, forks, and other activity on GitHub are governed by GitHub's own terms and community rules.
Accounts and eligibility
You are responsible for the information submitted through your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You may not use Lunapad if you are prohibited from doing so by applicable law. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Lunapad only with permission from a parent, guardian, or authorized organization.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Lunapad to:
- violate law or the rights of others;
- upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with the service;
- probe, scan, or test security except through responsible vulnerability reporting;
- send spam, deceptive content, or abusive traffic;
- use the service to process data you do not have the right to use;
- circumvent rate limits, access controls, or usage restrictions.
Your content and data
You keep ownership of notebooks, queries, reports, comments, uploaded files, connection details, and other content you submit to Lunapad. You grant Lunapad the limited permission needed to host, process, display, transmit, back up, and secure that content for the purpose of providing the service.
Do not upload or connect regulated data, such as protected health information, payment card data, export-controlled data, or other information requiring a specific compliance agreement, unless Lunapad has agreed to that use in writing.
Hosted app, self-hosting, and managed hosting
The hosted app may change as Lunapad develops. Features can be added, changed, limited, or removed. Self-hosted deployments are operated by whoever runs them, and that operator is responsible for their own configuration, access controls, backups, updates, and compliance.
Managed hosting starts only when Lunapad and the customer agree to the relevant scope in writing. A calendar booking or sales conversation does not itself create a managed hosting agreement.
Third-party services and AI providers
Lunapad may link to or integrate with third-party services, including GitHub, Cal.com, PostHog, data warehouses, databases, and AI providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
AI-assisted query drafting is optional. You are responsible for reviewing generated queries, choosing the provider configuration, and deciding what information is sent to that provider.
Feedback
If you send ideas, bug reports, documentation suggestions, or feature requests, Lunapad may use them without obligation to compensate you. This does not transfer ownership of your separate code contributions, which remain governed by the relevant open-source contribution and license terms.
Suspension and termination
Lunapad may suspend or limit access if needed to protect the service, investigate abuse, respond to legal requirements, or address a violation of these terms. You may stop using Lunapad at any time, and you can contact [email protected] for account or data requests.
Disclaimers
Lunapad is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lunapad disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, accuracy, and error-free operation.
Lunapad helps you work with data, but you are responsible for checking results, queries, reports, permissions, and decisions made from your analysis.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lunapad will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, service interruption, or business interruption arising from use of Lunapad.
Changes to these terms
Lunapad may update these terms as the product, services, or law changes. The effective date above will change when the terms change materially. Continuing to use Lunapad after an update means you accept the updated terms.
